Welcome friends!!!

We are so glad you stopped by to share our blog. We love life and each other immensely. As much as we want to be with everyone at once it is just impossible, at least until they finalize that cloning stuff (jk). So this is a way for us to keep in touch with you and for you guys to share things with us. Do not be shy. We love to hear from friends new and old (especially if it has been a while). Let's chat, let's catch up, let's reconnect.

We wish you only the very best,
Kimani, Datnee, Nehemiah, Kimberlee, Daniel, and Naomi Smith

Six Flags - Great Adventures!!!

Hey everyone, we waited all summer to go to Six Flags, Great Adventures and we finally had the chance to go with the church's youth group. It had been so long I had been on a roller coaster, I was not sure what it felt like or what to expect. We went on so many rides, I had a great headache from being tossed around and banged back and forth and up and down on these rides.

By far the most fun one was Medusa the ride was smooth and the dips and turns were not all that hard to handle. The most exciting was El Toro you seriously felt like you were riding a bull. it was seriously fast and up and down and left and right (it was my favorite). The scariest was Kingda Ka - very fast departure (so fast that you have to close your eyes because the wind is coming so fast at you) then when you come up it is fine, but coming back down you are looking right at the parking lot (I closed my eyes) then you do one more hill and it is over - very thrilling. I was shaking after that ride, when it was pulling in to the station to let us off, I felt like I was melting into my seat. I would do it again though.

We went on other little rides like twister and batman just for the fun of it. We missed Nemi a lot, especially when we saw the Bugs Bunny Land, and the Wiggles World. We thought it would be a great place for Nemi to have fun. We may take him when he is older so he could have fun on the kiddie rides.
Well, maybe one summer we will get the season pass so that we could go often, we had a great time, and in the midst of all the people we were able to just enjoy and draw closer to each other.
Until next time.

Cool Whip

Well, Nehemiah has discovered the deliciousness of cool whip. He is sooo hooked. I never ever ever buy cool whip for any reason. I like ice cream, but now I think we are making the shift.

Another funny story

I have to keep track off these so that I do not forget them.

Recently we went to church and one of the ladies at church just loves Nehemiah (we'll call her Lady), and he knows it. She likes it when he says her name, it makes her feel like she has a connection with Nemi and I think it is great.

So we went to church and after saying hello to Lady I told him to say good bye to another one of the ladies at the church (this lady needs to know she is loved), so here comes his beloved Lady and she says to Nehemiah, "hey do not go around flirting with other women I am your favorite right?" and without skipping a beat he looks at her and calls her by her name. We looked at each other because it was if to say, 'do not worry I know who you are and no one will take your place' It was just the perfect timing and it made Lady feel really loved and special. Now you have to understand, Nehemiah does not talk to anyone unless me or Kimani tell him to interact with other people, so for him to initiate conversation with Lady and even say her name without being asked was amazing... and she knew that. He has never again done that with anyone else.

Funny Story #2

So I was cooking a potato salad today and left the eggs out a bit too long. At one point I saw Nemi running with and egg. I decided to follow him to see what he would do and he ended up putting it in his favorite hiding spot... behind our bed. Our bed is positioned where the headboard is up against the window and right below the window is the heater. So Nehemiah often throws all kinds of things behind the headboard. Books, toys, brushes, anything he could find. So when I looked back there he had thrown the uncooked egg back there too. it was a mess. Thank God it was not there long enough to be rotten, otherwise we would have had quite a stinky situation in our hands.

Funny Story #1

This story is so funny. I went to get my nails done at the local chinese nail place and I took Nemi since I didn't have anyone to leave him with. So five minutes after the girl starts my nails Nemi takes off to explore the entire store. At one point I look at him and he is opening a bag of raisins and begins to eat them. I am calling out to him from where I am seated and I keep asking, "where did you get those raisins from" and he is completely ignoring me. In the meanwhile, the other girls who work at the nail salon are looking at me kind of funny. I thought Nemi took the raisins from another customer so I was trying to make eye contact to ask, but all the customers could care less about Nemi or my desire to get their attention. So I pay for the job, take Nemi (who by now finished the bag of raisins), and I head to the car. As I am putting Nemi in the car I look back to the nail salon and I happen to catch a glimpse of a small altar dedicated to Buddah full of all kinds of fruits. Some were fresh, and some were in individual bags, so I looked at Nemi and said, 'Nemi, you took the raisins off that altar?' Of course he had no clue what he did or what I was asking, but I went home laughing so hard. No wonder the girls who work there were looking at me kinda funky.

Even more funny was when I told Kimani about it he began to pray for the Holy Spirit to protect Nemi against any curses that may come his way. I laughed. Buddah is dead he cannot do anything.

Things, things and more things!!!

~So, of course the house was way too much, even after he lowered the price. We just need to look some more. Something will come up... I guess!

~I have a dentist appointment on Monday to fix one of my molars and itjust so happens tha the same molar cracked even more last night. What is worst is that the doctor's office does not open on Friday so I have to wait until Monday. Sucks!!

~Lately I have been hearing such bad news when it comes to my Christian friends. It seems like there is such an attack on our health. If it is not one thing it is the other. This girl I knew in Florida just passed away and though we rejoice she is with the Lord, it is just hard to hear that so many things are happening in the body of Christ.

hasta later...
